The human-shaped root is believed to prophesy the future and bring luck and power, yet according to the legend, when the root is dug up, it screams and kills all who hear it. It only grants the exemption from death to powerful witches and priestesses of Hecates.
The mystical tales about this plant express what is at the core of Mandragorae hortus. We believe every natural ingredient has a profound significance and can bring whatever is needed, even if it’s just a pleasant smell or, perhaps, something arcane. Hello, we are Morgana, a dedicated veterinarian, and Kamile, a talented graphic designer. Together, we are the creative minds behind Mandragorae hortus.
Our friendship dates back to our late teens and has always been rooted in a similar view of the world and a mutual appreciation for aesthetics.
During the pandemic, we embarked on a transformative journey that has led us to where we are today. Together, we delved into the mysterious world of the senses and explored the history, use and metaphysical aspects of fragrance.
With our passion for natural elements and our artistic vision, we decided to create our own line of natural incense, where each scent has carefully selected ingredients according to their unique properties. That was the beginning of Mhortus, which grew and expanded over time.
